Camp Helps Kids Plan for their Futures

It’s never too early for a youngster to have a plan for the future. That’s the view of the founders and staff of the Norman and Louise Jones Foundation, including the grand- daughter of the Foundation’s name- sakes. Brooklyn Brown explains that the Foundation is “dedicated to the belief that every student can be helped to understand he can do something in life…. it bridges the gap between where students are and where they want to be.” The Foundation’s Career Path- ways Center, a Saturday program that focuses on eight different career categories, gives students the chance to talk with people who work in those eight fields. The Foundation’s three-week long summer camp classes cover most academic subjects (and etiquette!) and feature presentations/ fun activities by local agencies like the Toledo Zoo and Imagination Station.
